Day 1: Journey into the Wild Heart of Borneo

Begin with a pickup from wisma khoo in Sandakan or Sepilok area. travel to Kinabatangan River in a shared vehicle, passing through rural villages and oil palm plantations the duration will be more than 2-3 hours each way. Embark on your wildlife cruise along the Kinabatangan and its tributaries. your guide will be searching for wildlife, with proboscis monkeys, macaques, hornbills, orangutans and pygmy elephants, the chance of finding it depends on luck. The golden light of dusk enhances the experience along the way. Keep an eye out for bird life including Borneo’s endemic and legendary hornbills. After your river cruise, savour an early dinner with free drinks, tea, and coffee. Enjoy your relaxation time as you waved through the lodge and listened to the birds before returning to the jetty. Return to the Sandakan or Sepilok with a smile on your face and memories of an thrilling wild adventure that will last a lifetime.
