Day 1 : Into Borneo's Wildlife Corridor

After being picked up from your Sandakan, head to the Kinabatangan River region, enjoy a stunning two to three-hour overland journey through Sabah's rural villages and countryside. Check into your lodge and get set into your dormitory. As the day fades into golden hour, enjoy a river boat along the Kinabatangan River after meeting your guide at approximately 4 p.m. to get a summary of the activities and wildlife encounters you might expect while visiting, .As you go through one of the best ecosystems in Southeast Asia then look for potential proboscis monkeys, hornbills, macaques, orangutans, and other animals that gather along the riverbanks. Dinner is served as the wild night descends on you. Relax among the wonderful sounds of the forest at night as the wild night settles in around you, itinerary subject changes. Overnight.

Day 2 : The Rainforest Comes Alive

Rise early for a dawn river cruise, and glide through the morning mist while the rainforest awakens around you, filled with the calls of birds and the rustling of wildlife preparing for a new day. As mist lingers above the water, search for wildlife beginning their day, including proboscis monkeys, hornbills, kingfishers, and perhaps even wild orangutans if lucky. Return and breakfast, take a guided jungle walk through the nearby riverine forest. Return to the lodge to freshen up and lunch, before or after. The afternoon is spent at leisure until golden hour then continue embark on a second river safari and continue search for Borneo's wildlife, every cruise might stand a chance to see a different sightings. Itinerary subject changes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 : One Last Look at the Wild

Wake up to the sounds of the rainforest and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After check-out, depart the Kinabatangan River region and transfer back to Sandakan. Depending on your onwards plans, transfer to Sandakan Airport or to Sepilok or Sandakan. Leave with unforgettable memories of Borneo's wildlife, pristine rainforest, and the enchanting Kinabatangan River.
