Itinerary
Day 1: Dawn Safaris and Farewell to the Jungle
Your adventure kicks off with a bumpy, fun ride from Lahad Datu with You'll find the registration and check-in for the Danum Valley Field Centre (DVSC/DVFC) at the reception office right next to Lahad Datu Airport at Fajar Centre. The trip is really enjoyable, taking you through stunning scenery on a gravel road for around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Just arrived at DVSC and got a lovely welcome during the briefing at the reception counter! Before know it, arrived at your jungle home! After a lovely lunch on your own cost if required, your guide will lead you on your first easy walks. A charming glimpse into a secret world where we can enjoy wildlife for 1 hour and 30 minutes nearby, and then we can return for a leisurely tea break at our own pace. As the sun sets, the real magic begins—let's start our evening with dinner! Heading on a night safari, depending on the weather conditions. This is when the forest's shyest stars come out to play imagine the adorable wide-eyed slow lorises, curious civets, and a sparkling variety of frogs and insects! It’s just like being in a live-action nature documentary, and get to enjoy it from the coziest spot around! Then head back to the Danum Valley Studies Field for the night, with lights out at 11 PM.
Day 2: Deep Dive into Adventure
Start your day with the most delightful wake-up call—the amazing symphony of hundreds of jungle birds! After a delicious breakfast, set off on the main event—a guided trek lasting about 4 hours. The hike is truly an adventure, and the reward is absolutely worth it: a stunning view over endless green treetops that stretches on forever. The adventure keeps going with exploring nature and enjoying wildlife sightings! The afternoon includes a return with lunch and some time for self-activities. At 3 pm, head out for another evening trek that will last about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Enjoy a relaxed coffee or tea break at the dining hall later in the evening! Dinner will be served at the dining hall, and as night falls, another wonderful chance to explore the fascinating darkness with your knowledgeable guide, uncovering the secrets of the nocturnal wildlife in the area for one hour. After that, make our way back to the Danum Valley Studies Field for the night, and turn off the lights at 11 PM.
Day 3: Savouring the Last Moments
Your final morning is a lovely one! You're welcome to experience a beautiful sunrise at Mount Batuk! Just a friendly reminder that we need at least 3 people to join, and there will be a small additional fee if less than 3 pax on your group (or extra 80 ringgit to be paid depending on the weather conditions). Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, perhaps spot one last monkey from the deck, and take in a nice deep breath of that wonderfully fresh jungle air. Enjoy a final little walk around the area to say goodbye to the forest before making your way back to Lahad Datu, with camera full of memories and heart overflowing with happiness. This isn't just a tour; it's a uniquely special jungle fairy tale. It's the delight of seeing first wild experience, the thrill of hearing an wild trumpet in the distance, and the peace of drifting off to the gentle sounds of the jungle. then, head back to Lahad Datu around 12 PM, finishing up our journey.

Just a friendly reminder that Danum Valley is a research centre and conservation area, serving as an important base for scientists and researchers, so accommodations are quite basic.
The management of the Danum Valley may adjust or change the route if it determines needed.
It is recommended that you bring your own binoculars to maximise your visual experience.
It's important to bring cash in Malaysian ringgit if you need to buy anything along the way, card is not accepted.
The ticket is valid for the activity date specified in your reservation, and changes to the date are not permitted.
Please be aware that weather, traffic, local regulations or current condition may cause delays in the tour's start and end times.
For the Mount Batuk sunrise, night drive or walk will be subject to the weather condition, and may be re-organised to best meet the operational situations.
